A study in reflection and radiance, Golden Resonance explores the interplay of light, depth, and surface — a contemporary expression of maki-e where brilliance itself becomes the subject. Across the body, round gold plates, round raden, and Hirame powder are arranged in delicate harmony, creating an ever-changing field of light. The upper and lower sections feature togidashi maki-e gradation, where tones of gold shift softly into translucence, revealing a quiet dialogue between color and sheen. At the cap joint, taka maki-e introduces subtle relief and dimension, adding contour to the smooth brilliance of the form.
