SARASWATI is the patron of knowledge, music, speech and all the creative arts. A much revered Goddess of the Hindu pantheon, she is considered to be the mother of the Vedas, the four ancient books sacred to the Hindus of which three represent the literature of ancient Indian poetry, prose and music.
Dressed in pure white, symbolizing untainted, pure knowledge, she is often seen seated on a white lotus, or riding a Swan or Peacock. The swan has the ability to separate milk from water, symbolizing discrimination between the good and the bad. The peacock represents the delusion of pride and arrogance that conceals true knowledge. As the divine energy that inspires creativity, she is also seen holding her much loved musical instrument – the Veena.
AP Limited Editions invites you to invoke the blessings of this Great Goddess, who transcends all ignorance and achieve success in all your intellectual and creative pursuits.
