The Turtle Pond

AP Limited Editions presents The Turtle Pond in Chinkin Lacquer Art featuring a family of turtles intricately carved on a brilliant Indigo Urushi backdrop inspired by the Japanese Shibori dyeing technique.

Chinkin is a very specialized technique of carving lines and dots using unique methods including 'rice grain' carving. The carved sections are then adorned with Gold powder, Gold leaf and Silver Gold leaf to create contrast.
