This masterpiece in Maki-e also boasts an extensive use of inlay craft using pieces of silver-lipped pearl oyster shells, great green turban shells, and Australian shells cut with perfect precision using a sewing needle to attach to brilliant shades of Urushi lacquer finished to a mirror like perfection in the Roiro technique.
