THE BUDDHAS OF THE TEN DIRECTIONS

AP Limited Editions is honored to invoke the blessings of THE BUDDHAS OF THE TEN DIRECTIONS, revered in Mahayana Buddhism (Great Vehicle), the second major branch of Buddhist teaching that spread eastwards from India to China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam.

This branch of Buddhist philosophy is embodied in the sacred and mystical Lotus Sutra, where the symbolism of the ‘Ten Directions’ refers to the all-encompassing essence of the Buddha who is everywhere – in all spaces, times and experiences. The ‘ten’ directions include the eight cardinal points of the compass and the zenith and nadir.
