TSURU KAME

Japanese aesthetics is profoundly impacted by Buddhist philosophy and deep-rooted traditions. Animals and birds are immortalized in legends and artworks as significators of auspiciousness. Tsuru Kame pays tribute to the rich heritage of Japanese culture that celebrates the Crane, (Tsuru) and Turtle, (Kame), as symbols of longevity and good fortune. Other auspicious symbols such as "shou-chiku-bai" (Pine, Bamboo and Plum trees) are also featured.
