The Lord of the Ganas

Lord Ganesha, the much-loved God of the Hindu pantheon is propitiated and invoked at the commencement of any form of worship and commands the title of Ganapati, The Lord of the Ganas.

The Ganas refer to all groups of beings in the physical and the ethereal world that participate in the process of creation.

By invoking the Lord of the Ganas, one honors all the elements and life forms and ethereal forms. Ganesha is the culmination and embodiment of all the Ganas, who graces his devotees by removing their obstacles and granting a successful outcome.

The Lord of the Ganas reminds us that we need to honor the universal consciousness and grow beyond a limited identification with oneself and group to live in greater harmony with all processes that govern creation.
