AP Limited Editions presents A Visit To The Imperial Palace of Emperor Qianlong (1736 – 1795), of the famed Qing Dynasty.

Emperor Qianlong’s reign was known to be an era of peace and prosperity that encouraged the art of mural painting called perspectival paintings which adorned the palaces in the Forbidden City.

A very intimate scene of imperial women and children decorates this visually stunning product, inspired by a wall perspectival painting in silk. The story expressed here is of abundance – of women and many children who are enjoying the warmth of the brightly lit hall in the Imperial Palace surrounded by cedar wood partitions that open out to the gardens. The antique flavor of this lively scene also expresses the mood of a bygone era where there was an abundance of goof fortune and longevity for all.
