AP Limited Editions celebrates the rich heritage of Indian miniature art in ‘The Hunt’. The Mughal period in Indian art history displays a dynamic fusion of European, Persian and Indian art styles. Mughal emperors, namely Akbar, were great patrons of art, music and craftsmanship. Paintings of the time period provided anecdotal accounts and visual records of the emperors’ conquests and coronations. Hunting was an important sport and recreation of the princes of the Mughal court and hunting scenes became an integral element of art.
