AP Limited Editions presents a classic Japanese pattern of wickerwork in Ajiro. Wicker patterns are regarded as auspicious; wickerwork nets were used to catch fish, which symbolizes “capturing happiness”. During the Sengoku period of Japanese history, this traditional pattern became popular with the Samurai as it symbolized capturing enemies and evil spirits.

This stately fine writing instrument is elegantly crafted in lustrous Urushi Lacquers adorned with Gold Kirikane and Aogai; (A collective term of various seashells used for decorating lacquerware including great green turban shells, nautilus shells, and abalone shells).
