A pristine Ivory Urushi landscape shimmers with the purity of Gold and breathtakingly beautiful tiniest of tiny pieces of inlaid multi-colored Abalone Shell. The skill of the Maki-e Shi is to be saluted in the precision and wondrous application of heritage techniques of Maki-e Lacquer Art.

The entire landscape is an ode to traditional and auspicious motifs of Japanese seasons - Pine, Bamboo, Maple, Sakura, Iris, and Chrysanthemum that serenade meandering streams, bridges, and traditional houses. A rare blend of precious metal powders predominantly Gold is applied to create the myriad details of this fine writing instrument through multiple processes of applying White colored Urushi, polishing, sprinkling of powders, and inlaying fine pieces of Gold and different colors of Abalone in the highest levels of Maki-e Art techniques ever achieved.
