This classic and timeless expression in Maki-e is hand crafted using several colors of Urushi Lacquer mixed with Gold powder and Silver powders and inlaid with eggshell bits. The backdrop with mountains and lake is crafted in the Togidashi or burnished Maki-e technique and the Deer and Monkeys, in the raised Taka Maki-e technique.
