Playful Poppies

AP Limited Editions invites you to relax and rejuvenate amidst a bloom of Playful Poppies. Crafted in the raised Taka Maki-e technique; bright Red Urushi lacquer is applied several times and accented with Hirame Gold powder and silver lipped Pearl Oyster Shell bits to create a bold harmony of blooming poppies. The backdrop is crafted with Black Urushi lacquer applied on the entire surface and white Urushi lacquer applied from the top and the bottom in gradation; adorned with Hirame (flat) Gold powder and silver-lipped Pearl Oyster Shell and superbly finished in Togidashi Maki-e.
