Inspired by the exquisite forms found in Nature, AP Limited Editions presents – THE FERNS – A lively palate of striking forms and colors intricately crafted using different techniques of Maki-e. The skill and distinction in the brush of the Maki-e Shi (Maki-e Artists) is inherent in the simplicity and complexity of design that is both pictorial and abstract.

It is not surprising that this amazing technique called Maki-e, translated as ‘sprinkled picture’; handed down from the Heian period in Japanese history, continues to enthrall art lovers across time and culture.
