THE PARROT

One of the most diverse breed of birds is THE PARROT. With over three hundred different types of classifications, this lively and much loved creature shares same features across breeds.

All parrots have a curved beak and are zygodactyls, with two forward pointing toes and two backward pointing ones on each foot. The parrot’s ability to mimic human sounds and speech is remarkable. Parrots are generally found in the warmer climates of the world – in Asia, Australia, South and Central America. Cockatoos, Macaws, Amazons and Lovebirds are some precious types.
