Textures in Gold

Textures in Gold is a series of 18 in a new launch of exquisite Maki-e pens at remarkably competitive pricing... we listened to our customers! Crafted with lacquer and silver powder, the pattern of a traditional oval gold coin is created with Takamaki-e technique repeated twice, to which Shishiaimaki-e technique is also applied. Adorned with sprinkled Gold powders, the surface is polished, fine lines are drawn, then finished with tsuya-age technique to give the surface a mirror-like shine. The nib section reveals a textured Urushi finish in the Ishimenuri technique.
